The Top Women in Business and Government publication named Aptronics as a leader in gender empowerment among South African business in 2014. The publication surveyed 6 400 companies to compile an accurate ranking and benchmarking report – with just over a quarter of respondents being able to qualify against stringent criteria.
Aptronics committed to transforming the information communication technology (ICT) sectors through skills development. Aptronics has seen real value and results come out of its skills development and training partnership with HP Business Institute (HPBI). The company currently employs seven bright postgraduates from the HPBI Techie 201 programme – an initiative borne out of a need to develop and grow the pool of skills in the ICT sector.
Aptronics was a proud platinum sponsor of HP World 2014, which was held at the Sandton Convention Centre on 13 May 2014. Hundreds of decision-makers from Southern Africa attended the event for a closer look at innovations in cloud, big data, security and mobility that will shape annual IT spending for the next decade.
Aptronics has shown its commitment to and support of education through continued community–building initiatives, including partnerships with local schools in the country to ensure that learners’ tuition fees are taken care of and by donating study materials.
Aptronics exceeded HP’s minimum requirements for platinum partnership status after five of the company’s senior architects achieved certification of the HP Master ASE course and exam in October 2013.
Aptronics walked away with four accolades at the HP Partner Awards ceremony, held at Urban Tree in Sandton on 14 November 2013.
Aptronics has formally celebrated its 20th anniversary milestone – marking two decades since the company first began operating from founder and CEO, Anil “Appie” Pema’s garage in 1993.
At the MWEB Channel Partner Awards ceremony held in Umhlanga, Aptronics was named as MWEB Business’ KZN Channel Partner of the Year for 2012/2013 for the second year in succession.
Aptronics scooped the VMware Solution Provider of the Year trophy for the third year in succession, at the VMware Partner Exchange event held in Johannesburg on 12 June 2013. This follows on the recognition the company received at the VMware Partner event in Las Vegas in 2012, where it received the Global Partner of the Year Award for Emerging Markets.
